Who are Octopus Networks?

Octopus Networks is a UK technology and managed services company helping organisations modernise their IT, strengthen security, and introduce smarter, more efficient digital systems. We specialise in cloud solutions, Microsoft 365, IT support, firewall, switching and Wi-Fi managed service and emerging smart-building technologies.

What have you been up to in 2025?

In 2025 we focused on growth and capability-building. We expanded our managed IT services, onboarded new clients, strengthened our Microsoft 365 and cloud security offering, and progressed development of Octopus Insights, our upcoming platform for building and operational intelligence.

What are your plans for 2026?

In 2026 we plan to launch the first phase of Octopus Insights, grow our managed services division, and build more local partnerships across Essex. We’ll continue supporting organisations with modern, secure, and efficient technology environments. We plan to employ more staff and progress our new building to net zero.

Is Essex a good place for business?

Yes, Essex offers strong connectivity, a collaborative SME community, access to talent, and proactive support for digital innovation.

What technology excites you most?

We’re most excited by technologies that turn data into clear, actionable insights — particularly IoT, automation, and cloud intelligence, which will underpin Octopus Insights.

Common IT challenges you solve?

Businesses often come to us with outdated systems, weak security, or unclear cloud setups. We solve this through structured audits, modernisation, secure Microsoft 365 environments, and dependable ongoing support.

How can Essex County Council help Octopus networks grow?

By continuing to promote digital skills, encourage collaboration, and support innovation programmes that help high-growth company’s scale. We have a great relationship with Castle Point Council, and we have noticed the difference this past year with their efforts with small business’s.
