Who are Concurrent?

Established 40 years ago, we are 180 people who love designing and making world leading computers that run mission critical applications in some of the harshest environments. We are listed on FTSE AIM, and are now considered a growth stock, having grown more in the last 3 yards than the proceeding 37.

What have you been up to in 2025?

When formally released our results will show strong growth. In 3 years we will have almost tripled in size, selling our products world-wide. We grew headcount by around 20, with a strong focus on developing a really motivating culture.  We are a public company, and grew our share price by 68% with a market cap of over £200m. We engaged strongly with customers, attending some of the world’s largest trade shows. As a crude metric for public profile, our LinkedIn followship increased by a third to over 11000, up from just 700 4 years earlier.

What are your plans for 2026?

We will have another record year.  We will expand our Colchester footprint by taking the whole 1st floor in the prestigious Essex House in Severall’s business park, right next door to our factory.  Likewise we are moving into a new state of the art facility in LA. We will continue to focus on being quick to market with key technology for our customers.

Do you think Essex is a good place for business? If so, why?

Yes. Essex people have a really ‘can do’ attitude, and geographically we are well positioned for national and international transport.

Concurrent has seen exponential growth over the last couple of years, what would you say is the secret to this growth?

Simple. Invest in talent and culture, focussed on technology development and customers. Our strategy is very simple, it’s all about execution underpinned by people. We have 4 pillars to our target culture. “Get Things Done”, “No Spectators”, “Ambition”, and “Buzzing”. We have mechanisms to encourage and measure progress, and strive to make each year the most developmental year ever for every single colleague.

Could you explain in more detail, what is Kratos?

Our customers have very fixed requirements for the physical size of a computer board. Many of our motherboards are roughly the size of a postcard, which places many constraints on what combination of technology you can physically fit into the design, and forcing tough choices. One of the most powerful intel® processors is physically massive, and combined with the vast 256Gb on memory uses most of the physical space available. Thanks to some incredibly innovative design, we have crammed an extra-ordinary amount of capability into this small form factor, something that as yet we are only people in the world to be selling. That means if you have a really demanding application and are constrained to this form factor and architecture, Kratos is the singularly most power solution on the planet. In some instances it will enable customers to replace large rack mount servers with something much smaller and energy efficient. Additionally this particular chip set is the first to offer the ability to control 5G networks right from the computer board, a bid advantage to anyone wishing to deploy a high performance communications network in remote places. Our entire drive is to provide latest technology in the form of computers ‘Concurrently’ with when the originators such as Intel® release it into the market.

What business would you love to collaborate with?

We typically collaborate with hardware technology innovators, and customers in areas such as aerospace, defence, medical, and life sciences. We are supported by people who help us with talent development, professional services, and IT and infrastructure development and maintenance.
