Who are TechWyse?

TechWyse are a Managed IT Service Provider based in Essex, supporting organisations across the county and wider M11 corridor. For more than 20 years, we’ve helped businesses use technology confidently, safely, and strategically – without the jargon or stress that often comes with IT and putting people at the heart of everything we do.

Our focus is simple: listen first, understand the business, and deliver support that genuinely makes people’s working lives easier.

We’re proud to be a Living Wage Employer, ISO 27001 accredited, and deeply rooted in the local business community. Every service we deliver – from cyber security to IT strategy and AI adoption – is designed to reduce risk, increase resilience, and empower teams to deliver for their clients.

What have you been up to in 2025?

2025 was one of our biggest years of growth, both innovatively and operationally. Highlights include:

  • Investing heavily in internal development, strengthening our technical team and maturing our management team.
  • Growing our partnerships with Essex Police Cyber Prevent Team, Pax8, Usecure, and other partners – bringing access to high‑quality resources directly to local business leaders.
  • Supporting business owners with strategic technology planning, helping them reduce risk, control costs, and prepare for the future.
  • Getting out and about in Essex with trade shows, networking, and speaking at events.
  • Developing a better client portal and beginning work on new portals to give clients better oversight on
  • Increasing internal efficiencies – allowing the team to expand their personal development time
  • Preparing to deliver our largest-ever programme of business education, with events, masterclasses, and webinars helping Essex organisations reduce cyber risk and adopt AI safely (Copilot training webinars began in February and our first masterclass event takes place in Chelmsford on April 22nd).
  • Building skills to launch our new AI Adoption service later this year, helping dozens of businesses build practical policies, governance frameworks, and real-world use cases.

Overall, 2025 involved a lot of laying the groundwork to grow our team and processes so we can raise the standard of IT support and cyber resilience across Essex, whilst continuing to grow sustainably as a business.

What are your plans for 2026?

  • Expanding our cyber security offering, with our onboarding to the new Assurix MSP Trust Mark beginning soon to prove our world‑class cyber governance
  • Delivering our largest-ever programme of business education, with events, masterclasses, and webinars helping Essex organisations reduce cyber risk and adopt AI safely (Copilot training webinars began in February and our first masterclass event takes place in Chelmsford on April 22nd).
  • Launching our new AI Adoption service later this year, helping dozens of businesses build practical policies, governance frameworks, and real-world use cases.
  • Launching new readiness assessments and maturity frameworks to help SMEs benchmark and improve their overall IT roadmap, cyber resilience and AI adoption.
  • Growing our team knowledge to support our expanding customer base.
  • Strengthening our community engagement, working even more closely with regional partners to help Essex businesses grow.
  • Continuing investment in operational excellence, with a renewed focus on service quality and proof not promises (with the new Assurix trust mark).
  • 4 trade shows (so far) and lots more networking.

Our mission for 2026 is to help Essex businesses become more cyber‑resilient, AI‑ready, and future‑proof than ever.

Do you think Essex is a good place to do business? If so, why?

Yes – Essex is an exceptional place to live and run and grow a business but I guess I am biased there.

  • The community is strong, supportive, and genuinely collaborative, especially within the SME sector.
  • Location is ideal, with the M11, A12, and proximity to London and Cambridge making it perfect for access to both talent and opportunity.
  • Great Universities and colleges offering T Levels and hubs such as the new Digital Forum in Colchester.
  • Local organisations and agencies are active, offering valuable support, training, and networking.
  • Great business partners – such as Halo (providing our PSA) right on our doorstep.

What are the main skills that TechWyse are looking for currently?

As we continue to grow, we’re focused on bringing in people who have:

  • Strong technical skills in modern IT infrastructure, cloud services, cyber security, and AI adoption.
  • A genuine desire to help people, solve problems, and communicate clearly – even under pressure.
  • Curiosity and adaptability, especially around emerging technologies like AI and automation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, both technical and customer‑facing.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, personal development, and long-term growth.
  • A resilient growth mindset.

But above all, we hire for attitude, integrity, and empathy. Skills can be taught – values can’t.

What advice would you give to businesses who are looking to scale up in the way that you have?

If we could do it all again here are the things we would do again and other things we would do better (not telling which is which 🙂)

  • Invest early in strong foundations – especially documenting processes, and systems.
  • Put people first – staff, customers, and partners. Listen, learn, and build relationships based on trust and transparency.
  • Don’t wait for a crisis to make improvements. Proactive planning (quarterly and annually) saves time, money, and stress in the long run.
  • Adopt technology strategically, not reactively. Align it to your goals and measure its use and return.
  • Stay curious – stay informed and make time for learning away from the business.
  • Lean on your community. Essex is full of supportive networks, expert partners, and collaborative organisations.
  • Take time out – even on the hard days.
