Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Farm granted consent

The Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Farm has officially received Development Consent from the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, marking a major moment for one of the region’s flagship clean‑energy developments.

The project will create jobs, strengthen local supply chains and unlock future investment, supporting businesses and communities in Greater Essex.

It will also help to cement Essex’s position as a leading clean energy cluster in the UK.

Once fully constructed, Five Estuaries would be capable of generating sufficient electricity to power the equivalent of up to one million homes annually.
